For the last 5 years we have sponsored Holiday Celebrations for the children from the local blind orphanage, Solniska shelter and the infectious disease branch of the local children’s hospital. During these events the children celebrated the New Year with a holiday festival including sledding, decorating a tree, sharing candy and warm meal, and traditional holiday stories & games.

The camps lasted for 2 days and included a winter camp out. The children once again enjoy life in a family type environment thanks to the help of our partners, the Adventure Team.Without their help these camps would not be possible to organize. Their staff is dedicated to bettering the life of these forgotten children.

After the weekend holiday many of the children expressed themselves through art about their experiences. Funds for this event were provided by the proceeds from the Russian Orphan Holiday cards. A program we designed to help sponsor more camp experiences for the children and to recognize the artistic beauty inside them.
